Eco-friendly production
BC Softwear is a leading and innovative company in the textile industry. BC Softwear is aware of its environmental responsibility. Our factory in Turkey simply focuses on the concept of eco-friendly. This is achieved through a comprehensive program that invests in environmentally friendly technology. All of this is aimed at reducing damage to the environment.
This can be seen in the following topics:
Water
The factory has a biological wastewater treatment plant and can reuse 10% of its own total wastewater.
Carbon dioxide reduction
The factory has recently started reducing CO2 emissions with regard to the 'greenhouse effect'. Agreed targets reduce the fight against global warming and climate change through international climate change regulations.
Solar energy
The factory has installed solar panels on the site and factory roofs. With this, the factory uses its own clean energy to produce textiles.
Clean energy
Every year, the factory prevents natural gas consumption by 2,465,223 m3 by using clean energy produced in its own solar panels. Another advantage of the solar panels is the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to nature. The factory prevents approximately 20,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
Wildlife protection and support
The reclamation of 1,430,727 trees was provided by our solar power plants and therefore we are repositioning an area of 28,000,000 square meters (an area 8 times larger than Central Park). We thereby support the protection of animals in their local area.
Cotton grows at home
To further reduce CO2 emissions, the factory develops its own cotton. This way we are less dependent on importing the cotton and this provides benefits for the environment
About our textile research and development center
In 2014, our Turkish factories R&D center was established. The first strategy consists of protecting and developing its competitiveness. This is done through innovative and technological textile products and the secondary strategy to develop environmentally friendly R&D projects.
In the textile laboratory of the R&D center we are able to test the density (perspiration, washing and friction). We test the thread (the strength of the thread, etc.), color measurements (spectrophotometer) and physical factory tests (weight, etc.)
BC Softwear also often uses the independent laboratory in Great Britain. Laundry Technology Center (LTC) tests our products for quality and specifically to reduce the energy of washing and drying. In doing so, they pay attention to improving the lifespan of the products. We also work with suppliers of washing equipment and chemical detergents. So that we can be sure of the correct washing temperatures and detergents used to improve our products.
Ethical trading
BC Softwear is very keen on ethical trading conditions. We would like to only source products from suppliers that comply with the correct terms of employment and employee rights. This is checked by regular visits and the working relationship is maintained by the founders of our factories.
